Riposo Overlay No. 2

Some colors need time before I use them. Bronze, Camel, Ash, Lagoon, held in reserve for years, waiting for the right opaque layer to sit over. That combination is where they actually happen. In the heat of the work, none of it is visible. The color only shows itself once the piece has cooled, once it's reached room temperature. Overlay No. 2 is where that reveal plays out at full scale. Grand forms, built to give the color room to breathe.

Limited series. Sold as composed. Six unique, hand-blown double Overlay glass objects, arranged as shown. Each piece signed and numbered, O2-1 through O2-6.
